Do you deal with child blood non-malignant diseases? Are you interested in personalised medicine and biomarkers or genomics as well as digital science? 

Professor Adriana Ceci, past president of Fondazione per la Ricerca Farmacologica Gianni Benzi, and Dr Petros Kountouris, as co-guest editors, are pleased to invite you to submit your manuscript to the Special Issue “Personalized Medicine in Blood Disease of Children” of the Journal of Personalized Medicine. 

It highlights the current state of the research and current practice on personalised medicines in children blood non-malignant disorders, such as haemoglobinopathies and bleeding disorders. 

Particularly, this special issue aims to collect, share and expand knowledge on the genetic and molecular basis of phenotypic variation in these disorders and on the use of omics and digital science, leading to the identification of possibly successful candidate diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. 

Moreover, it will explore the complexity of conducting personalised medicine clinical studies in children affected by rare haematological diseases, including patient registry standardisation, ethics, feasibility, cost, and patient engagement. Papers may also address the use of digital tools and advanced therapy medicinal products for preliminary results. 

Original articles and reviews are welcome. 

Deadline for manuscript submissions is 5 September 2022.
