The European Paediatric Translational Research Infrastructure (EPTRI) has exciting news to share about its upcoming Scientific Meeting and legal incorporation as an international non-profit association.
EPTRI is pleased to announce its General Assembly and Scientific Meeting will be held on 18-19 July 2024 in Bari, Italy. This two-day event will bring together researchers, industry, patient groups, and other stakeholders to discuss the latest advancements in developing new therapeutic options for paediatric populations.
A key highlight is the call for abstracts across a range of topics related to EPTRI’s five Thematic Research Platforms. Researchers are invited to submit abstracts showcasing their work by the new deadline of 10 June 2024. Accepted abstracts will be presented orally at the meeting and published in the “Book of Abstracts”.

Establishment of EPTRI AISBL
In a significant milestone, EPTRI has been officially incorporated as an international non-profit association (AISBL) based in Leuven, Belgium. Approval from the Belgian government allows EPTRI to operate as an independent institution eligible for grants and funding opportunities.
Key objectives include creating five specialized research platforms, centralized services, and national nodes to facilitate a borderless ecosystem for paediatric research and therapeutic development.
The EPTRI Scientific Meeting 2024 and formation of the AISBL legal entity demonstrate EPTRI’s commitment to driving progress through multidisciplinary collaboration.
