We are proud to announce that our CEO, Donato Bonifazi, representing TEDDY – European Network of Excellence for Paediatric Research, has been elected to the Coordinating Group of European Network of Paediatric Research at the European Medicines Agency (Enpr-EMA) for the 2025-2027 term. The Coordinating Group will convene its first meeting in early March 2025.

This election marks a crucial milestone in TEDDY’s ongoing commitment to advancing paediatric medicine research across Europe. The Coordinating Group plays a vital role in facilitating collaboration and networking among paediatric research stakeholders within and beyond the European Union, strengthening TEDDY’s position at the forefront of paediatric research excellence and policymaking in Europe.

TEDDY’s extensive involvement in Enpr-EMA is demonstrated through its active participation in several critical working groups:
– Working Group on International Collaboration
– Working Group of Research Nurses
– Working Group on Cross-Border Access to Paediatric Clinical Trials
– Working Group on Paediatric Clinical Trial Site Quality Requirements

Additionally, TEDDY has shown leadership in proposing and supporting new initiatives, including:
– A proposed Working Group on Patient and Public Involvement (PPI)
– A Working Group on Medical Devices for the Paediatric Population, which was proposed by TEDDY

The election represents recognition of both Dr. Bonifazi’s leadership in the field and TEDDY’s significant contributions to paediatric research, reinforcing its commitment to advancing children’s health through scientific excellence and collaboration.
