The European CRO Federation (EUCROF) is an organisation founded in 2005 with the aim to promote high quality clinical research in Europe, favouring the exchange of information and encouraging a close relationship between the national member associations and regulatory bodies, pharmaceutical-biotechnology industry and the medical research community. Among the initiatives promoted by EUCROF, the activities performed within its working groups provide a good occasion of discussion on specific areas of interest in the clinical research field. A new EUCROF Events & Training (E&T) Working Group (WG) has been launched, with the aim to strengthen both events and training in the light of the educational vocation of all the activities EUCROF offers to its associates and external stakeholders. Donato Bonifazi, Chief Executive Officer at Consorzio per Valutazioni Biologiche e Farmacologiche, has been named chair of this new working group that intends to provide a forum for discussion of key issues impacting clinical research and opportunities for learning, as well as to enhance professional competence. The E&T WG will deliver activities to build relationships across organisational boundaries as well as to give training staff the opportunity to develop skills, expertise and grow within their role, so to become a hub for groups outside EUCROF to get involved in.
