In May 2017, Consorzio per Valutazioni Biologiche e Farmacologiche – Dege e shoqerise se huaj, Albanian Branch Office of CVBF officially joined EUCROF (European CRO Federation) as Associated Member.

EUCROF is a non-profit organization founded in October 2015 with the scope to promote clinical research of high quality in Europe and represents the interests of CROs (Contract Research Organizations) in the European Union, for example, in transactions with regulatory bodies, pharmaceutical-biotechnology industry and the medical research community. The organization is proactive in promoting a close relationship and mutual understanding between the national member associations and the above-mentioned bodies and in disseminating information on developments in clinical research to health professionals.

Currently, EUCROF has Associate Members in a total of 10 countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Portugal, Serbia, Switzerland, UK, Ukraine and now in Albania as well.

CVBF Albania was founded in May 2015 in Tirana and acts as a Contract Research Organization (CRO) to conduct GCP clinical trials, supporting companies willing to conduct clinical research in Albania. It provides support to investigators, sponsors, CROs and research institutions through the preparation of medical documents (e.g. study protocol), site management services, project and trial management and as well as providing ethics and regulatory services.
